Am I crazy for selling these??? Yes! There is no doubt it will haunt me for life! lol

I'm still amazed this set was saved and they are together still!

As you can see they are very old and soiled from play and time

All the clothes are handmade as well as the dolls

Pa is stuffed with cotton (kapok seedy type) He is very interesting! I'm not sure if his head was replaced? As his features are drawn on his face. Unlike ma's whose are stitched. His head is also attached with crude stitches (frankenstein style). Unlike Ma's (her body is all one continous pieces He tiny overalls are faded and dirty and very detailed. He wears a matching shirt. As you can see his face is soiled showing at one time he possibly wore a hat. His tiny shoes are sewn accented. As the photos show he is also tattered on hands and feet. He does have various tiny holes here and there. For his age though..he is solid and all intact, not really all that fragile! I love that there are various stick pins helping to hold his trousers on..and they are so old they are barely there!! The top of the stick pins are like rosehead nails..crude and rough!

Ma is simple and sweet! Her features are all hand sewn. Her body is all one piece, Her face is soiled in such a way that it appears she once had hair. She wears a blue calico dress with two tiny pockets in front. She is in good shape, other than a few tiny holes here and there.

Both dolls are in solid wonderful shape..they do not sit.. Stuffed solid..they only stand. Ma is 11 inches and Pa is 12. They are odor free and aren't dirty to the touch. I would say the soiling adds to their charm. Someone REALLY loved them!
